Cows through the window

Our pasture rotation meant that the milking cows were put in the paddock right next to our house last night - it really is a different feeling being inside the house, looking out the window and seeing cows peering back at you from close range! Actually it feels a little strange initially.

The cows really love looking inside the house too! I guess they feel kind of priviledged; Normally it's us going into "their home" and observing them all the time but on this occasion they get to be the observers and can keep tabs on us.

On a separate note, the weather has finally changed and it seems we can say "good-bye, good-riddance" to all that rain for a while - though being a Taranaki winter I'm sure the rain wont stay away for long...
